Leadership
As Academic Advisor, Prof. Chixin Xiao guides the ESGFF Faculty in advancing interdisciplinary research, talent development, and global collaboration. Holding dual Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, he brings expertise in Smart City/Grid systems, computational intelligence and its industry applications, and risk-aware decision-making for a sustainable environment. His leadership supports ESGFF initiatives such as the Carbon Rating Report of Australia’s 100 Listed Companies and the ESGFF Annual Event, strengthening the Foundation’s role as a bridge between academia, industry, and policy.
He is a Senior Member of IEEE, an Executive Committee Member of the CCF Technical Committee on Theoretical Computer Science (Smart City/Grid, Computational Intelligence, Data Learning), and has been internationally recognized under both the Hong Kong Technology Talent Admission Scheme (TechTAS) and Australia’s Global Talent Program. He also serves on the editorial boards of Frontiers in Energy Research, Energy Conversion and Economics, and other leading journals, and acts as a reviewer and review editor for several IEEE Transactions journals, further underscoring his international standing in technology, innovation, and sustainable development.
