Peter Cai is the CEO of the Museum of Chinese in Australia.
Most recently, Mr. Cai served as Chief Executive Officer of the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations, a role to which he was appointed by the Foreign Minister.
Mr Cai has extensive experience in business, media, academia and government, including as Group Chief Advisor and General Manager for strategic relations at Virgin Australia, Research Fellow at the Lowy Institute for International Policy, as a journalist with The Australian, The Age and Sydney Morning Herald and at the Australian Treasury Foreign Investment Review Board Secretariat. Mr Cai has also served as a committee member of the Australia-China Business Council (NSW).
Mr Cai holds a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford (history) and undergraduate degrees in international studies and Asian studies from the University of Adelaide.
